SKI TRIP 2017
We are looking forward to our 2017 ski trip.  The snow has been falling and more is forecast over the next few days providing us with excellent skiing conditions.

SUNDAY - DAY 1

We woke up to a morning of glorious sunshine, the beginners are doing fantastic and already up on the drag lift.

The afternoon saw a complete change of weather with some wind and snow.  All students completed their first day skiing with a huge sense of achievement.

12cms of snow is forecast for tonight.

Student comments today:

Emre:  Started by putting my boots on the wrong feet but soon got that sorted.  I am gradually getting better

Rohan:  today I learnt to do parallel turns.  It works really well because now I can manoeuvre around people easily.

Anthony:  The boots are heavy but after a while you completely forget about it and next thing you know you're zooming down a hill.

MONDAY - DAY 2

Wow - what a sight to behold.  It snowed all night and we faced with a soft blanket of white.

All the students worked hard and enjoyed a challenging journey down the mountains.  They did the school and themselves proud.

Student comments today:

Evelyn: Toady was extremely challenging, conquering slopes that were difficult, especially with the powdered snow, but personally, experiences like that are the most rewarding and I will try my best throughout the week to accomplish more.

India:  Today was exciting but challenging - put it this way it was hard.  The snow was thick and conditions this morning were great, but this afternoon was very different.

Grace:  Today was brilliant.  I learnt how to ski and jump, and only fell over once.  When I went up the mountain, I was quite scared but soon realised how fun skiing is.

Montgenevre we will miss you - till next year .....

Students' comments today:

Ariana J: My favourite team leader was Jose, my favourite member of staff was Hamish, the food was really good, I enjoyed it.
The rooms were really small, the beds were comfy.

Evelyn:  This week had it challenges, but the hardest challenges are the most rewarding.  I have achieved so much this week and not just on the slopes.  I made new friends and grew closer with my existing ones.  I plan to go skiing in the future now and I have got the skills I need, and I know for a fact I will enjoy it.
