In Studio 30+, we don’t just teach; we empower. Our personalised framework ensures that every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Studio 30+ is a smaller classroom setting that offers a calm, structured, and expertly managed Key Stage 3 provision designed to help students flourish. With a higher ratio of Teaching Assistants (TAs) in every lesson, children receive continuous, hands-on support to navigate their learning with confidence. Fully aligned with our whole-school ethos, we combine high expectations and clear behavioral standards with dedicated personal guidance, ensuring every young person feels understood, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. 

Empowered Transitions & Student Outcomes

Our ultimate goal is a confident, successful transition into full-time mainstream education by Year 9, with many students achieving this milestone even sooner. To ensure a smooth journey, we create bespoke timetables that gradually integrate students into mainstream lessons starting with their strongest subjects. This tailored approach allows them to experience immediate success, accelerating their academic momentum and significantly boosting their self-esteem. Above all, we maintain an encouraging, student-centered environment where we actively listen to each child’s voice, empowering them to build resilience, embrace new challenges, and thrive across all aspects of school life.

We believe that every student deserves access to a high-quality education. Our curriculum mirrors mainstream Key Stage 3 subjects, but we deliver it in a tailored, adaptable way. By adjusting our teaching methods, resources, and assessment approaches, we ensure learning is accessible, appropriately paced, and meaningful for every individual.

  • Targeted 1:1 Support: Students who require additional attention or extra learning time receive dedicated one-to-one support within lessons. This focused guidance helps them overcome challenges, master key concepts, and build strong confidence in their learning.

  • Bespoke Learning Pathways: We understand that some students need extra flexibility. We offer individualised programmes that allow students to work at their own pace and level of challenge while remaining a valued, connected part of our school community.

Personal Development & Life Readiness

Our commitment extends beyond traditional academics to focus on emotional maturity, personal independence, and practical life skills.

  • Emotional Regulation & Support Strategies: Weekly strategy sessions equip students with practical tools to manage stress and stay focused. When needed, students can utilize 5-to-10-minute regulation breaks, relax in our cozy corner, or take a brief walk to the school garden with their keyworker to reset.

  • Self-Awareness & Healthy Communication: Students explore their emotions, strengths, and personal limits, learning how to articulate their thoughts clearly and respect the boundaries of others.

  • Self-Advocacy & Student Voice: We ensure students are truly heard and listened to, empowering them to use their voice, express their needs, set healthy boundaries, and take active ownership of their personal targets.

  • Applied Life Skills: Planned educational trips take learning off-site, giving students real-world practice to build confidence in everyday community settings.

  • Enrichment & Active Growth: Structured extracurriculars, including karate and interest-based clubs foster physical discipline, collaboration, and social confidence in a safe, supportive environment.

Studio 30+ operates as a vigilant, reassuring space where comprehensive safeguarding measures guide every aspect of the school day, allowing students to feel secure, respected, and ready to engage. Because success is built on mutual trust, we maintain close, transparent communication with home through regular email updates and fortnightly phone calls partnering directly with parents and carers to protect, guide, and celebrate every young person in our care.
