Open Evening
We are delighted to extend an invitation to Year 11 students and their family representatives from 5:30pm until 7:45pm on Wednesday 21st October, for our ‘Sixth Form Open Evening’. There will be a presentation from the Headteacher Mr Owen and Director of Sixth Form Mr Panayi in the Main Hall at 5:45pm. Due to a limit on capacity there will be a repeat of this presentation at 7:00pm. From 5:30pm to 7:30pm you will be able to visit subject areas around the school where you will have the opportunity to talk to teachers and students.
The event will be a very important evening for you and your child. They will be able to visit a number of learning areas where they will be able to get a ‘feel’ for what it will be like as a Sixth Form student at Winchmore School.
Students will receive a copy of our Sixth Form Prospectus and subject information on each of the courses offered, as well as information on how to apply. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to meet teaching staff and students already studying these courses, and to look at samples of work and course materials.
It is our hope that your child would wish to continue their education at Winchmore School, and we look forward to you joining us for this evening. We would like to inform you that it is compulsory for parents/carers to attend with their son/daughter, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Sixth Form team. Tickets must be secured in advance and QR codes presented on arrival.
