The Media Curriculum is designed to challenge and support all of our students, ensuring that they achieve the best outcomes possible by focusing on a diverse range of set texts. Students will be exposed to the full spectrum of modern media, including: Film; Advertising, Magazines, Television, Radio, Video Games, Music and Social Media. Across the curriculum students will develop their cultural capital with all set texts requiring broad knowledge of social, cultural, historical, economic and political contexts. Good literacy underpins all teaching and learning activities and students will be encouraged to become insightful in their written responses alongside using skills such as analysis and evaluation. Outside the classroom students are encouraged to build their cultural capital through trips or by attending seminars.
